Mezurashii Musik

Posted by mica hamilton on Monday, June 20, 2016, In : Fresh

You describe yourself as not just any ordinary artist and the name Mezurashii itself means unusual or rare, so what is it that you feel is so unusual and rare and why do you feel that it’s important to let people know that you are so different?

I think for a lot of people it is difficult to pin point me as an artist because my vocal range is so wide, a lot of the time people hear my stuff and they’re very surprised by the voice that comes out they don’t expect to hear what they hear, ...

Dominic

Posted by Christine Reynolds on Monday, June 13, 2016, In : Fresh

I first heard of D.Pierremusic from my friend’s radio station ‘Riddim n Grooves’ where Dominic came along from recommendation from another friend of mine.  He played a few tracks and spoke a-bit about himself and his music. I wasn’t sold at first, although listeners from the station said that his music was catchy. It was when I visited the site that I knew there was something more for me to listen to.

Erika

Taking homage to a trilogy of Ep’s ‘Onna” is set to be one that speaks the language of its Japanese meaning: ‘woman.” The Ep itself consists of 5 tracks with a remix by Toby Kid called, “Pop To The Head.” ‘Fly Away’ and ‘Warrior’ (taken from the Ep) have seen visuals that depicted genuine aspects of ‘Erika’s” personality and world. For instance:  ‘Warrior,’ as you will find out via this interview featured genuine friends and people she knew, they were not ac...

I found myself asking many questions when listening to the music and totality of ‘Oliver,’ firstly, in his photographs the images seem to paradigm a sense of shapelessness – like when Sia covers herself distinctly, although we know what she looks like her art/music is hidden behind different forms of expression and images. Oliver remains hidden behind a veil but seems to allow his music and identity to appear bit by bit as the unravelling of himself comes forth; and I think I caught thi...

The Oscillation

Posted by Christine Reynolds on Sunday, May 8, 2016, In : Fresh

The Oscillation means: “
movement back and forth in a regular rhythm;” and to me this is definitely/ partly the case. It all plays to a climax of sound, time, and rapport, and it builds and builds up until some line is drawn between words and rhythm; and a current is created, like a droid that is harnessing something cosmetic and waved-synthesized towards it's listeners. I don’t pretend to understand what I see; I base what I see on what I feel (factual) and not basing it on personal opi...

Stories Of Stick-Men: The Interview.

Posted by Christine Reynolds on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, In : Fresh

What is a stick-man? Preferable sets of lines that connect to make a figure come together that resemble some form of a being, an outline and a creation! Something plain and simple, or something used when you cannot really draw at all. Stick-men are hung in hangman and stick men are used as lazy assassins that terminate and shoot, if anybody can recall the games from some android phones? Christabel and Steve have found a more humane way of using the word “stick-men” and it congregates a m...
